About the blog

logo-amAdidas Marxism was set up in November 2016 to archive articles, reviews, interviews and translations by Juraj Katalenac.

They are organised according to category and publication date. However, with the benefit of hindsight, it is worth noting that I do not agree with every word and conclusion contained in the content posted but they are included as an honest record of my development and evolution. This is especially true for older articles.

I write mostly about politics and culture: working class struggles (global and local), “foreign politics”, and on themes related to the left and socialism; and I occasionally write about culture and music. I also like to interview Marxist scholars and activists to discuss their theories, politics, campaigns and ideas and make them available for a local audience.

Furthermore, this blog will also indulge an academic interest I have in the history of Socialist Yugoslavia, Communist Party of Yugoslavia (later the League of Communists of Yugoslavia), its “socialist” self-management and the theories and criticisms of state-capitalism.
